MOLLY SMITH (Producer) produced her first film, “P.S. I Love You,” in 2006 with Alcon Entertainment. Written and directed by Richard LaGravenese and starring Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank. Following “P.S. I Love You,” Smith formed a partnership with actress Hilary Swank and had a first‐look producing deal at Alcon Entertainment until 2011. Smith was the executive producer on “The Blind Side” (2009). The film earned Sandra Bullock the Academy Award for Best Actress, was nominated for Best Picture and grossed over $250 million. Smith then went on to produce the film adaptation of Emily Giffin’s best-selling novel “Something Borrowed,” followed by the supernatural coming of age story “Beautiful Creatures” and “You’re Not You”.

In 2013, Smith left her producing deal at Alcon and partnered with Trent and Thad Luckinbill to form Black Label Media, a new film finance and production company. Black Label released it’s first film “The Good Lie”, directed by Phillipe Falardeau and starring Reese Witherspoon, in the fall of 2014 and has two more films scheduled for release. “Sicario,” directed by Denis Villenueve and starrng Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro, is slated for a fall ’15 release. Jean-Marc Vallee’s “Demolition”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts, is scheduled for a spring 2016 release. Black Label also acquired an interest in the films “Begin Again,” written and directed by John Carney, and starring James Corden, Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo and “71,” directed by Yann Demange and starring Jack O’Connell. In addition, Black Label has an active slate of development projects including “Code Name Veil”, which will be directed by Michael Cuesta and is scheduled for a fall 2015 production.
